THUY VAN TRUONG, born in 1984, discovered her passion for table football while studying to become an art and English teacher at the University of Paderborn. With the help of YouTube tutorials, she taught herself techniques and eventually qualified for German championships and even world championships. She is twice German runner-up in table football.
Her passion for the stage led her to a professional acting career. Between 2018 and 2020, Thuy completed an acting training programme at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Los Angeles.
As an actress, Thuy has appeared in a variety of film and television productions, most recently in ‘Wilsberg’, ‘Schattenseite’ and ‘Für alle Fälle Familie’. The film ‘Gezielt mittelalterliche Überlegungen’ (2024), in which she plays the lead role of teacher Frau Schröder, was awarded the **Predicate of particular merit** by the German Film and Media Rating and received numerous nominations in the **German Competition**, including at the **International Short Film Festival Oberhausen** and the **Short Film Festival Hamburg**.
